Prepared produce giant Bakkavor is looking to hire 86 new employees at its Cucina Sano site following increased demand from customers.
The dedicated Marks & Spencer facility in Old Leake near Boston, Lincolnshire wants to fill new vacancies in a range of roles, including production operatives, team leaders and several other skilled positions.
The site, which currently employs more than 690 employees, produces a range of products for Marks & Spencer in the Italian meals and deli categories.
These include pasta-based meals; a wide range of anti-pasti, including olives, sun-dried tomatoes and anchovies; and the gluten-free meals for the M&S Made Without range.
Cucina Sano’s head of operations Ben Cooper said: “This is an exciting time for Cucina Sano as we create additional capacity to meet increased customer demand. We have a number of different roles on offer and we look forward welcoming the new colleagues to our team.”
The recruitment drive is part of a broader Bakkavor initiative taking place across the UK. Bakkavor currently employs more than 16,000 people in the UK alone. And last year alone, the group employed an additional 1,000 staff as it increased capacity to meet higher demand from customers, particularly in categories such as fresh meals, pizzas, salads and desserts.
Employee benefits at Cucina Sano include a staff shop, regular social events, childcare saving scheme and the Bakkavor Benefits Scheme, which gives staff discounts at high street retailers.
