Fruit and vegetable sales have shot up by 17 per cent since the latest roll-out of Nisa’s own-label Heritage range.
The rebrand and reformulation of the range began hitting the shelves in June, and has been a success with Nisa members and consumers, with some categories experiencing a sales increase of 52.6 per cent.
Nisa’s fruit has been performing extremely well, with the top-sellers being Heritage bananas, Heritage Royal Gala apples and Heritage white grapes.
Sales of Gala apples, in fact, stand out above the rest - up 194 per cent compared to the previous three weeks.
Rebranded Heritage vegetables are also proving a firm favourite, with Heritage Closed Cup Mushrooms, Heritage Maris Piper Potatoes and Heritage Salad Tomatoes being Nisa’s top-selling vegetables.
Ian Bishop, Nisa's marketing director, said: “I am extremely pleased with how these Heritage products are performing since they have been rebranded, and I look forward to more rolling out, in order to see even more fantastic results.
“We are planning to have the majority of the products rolled out by September next year - with the overall aim to create a fantastic, quality £500 million brand which consumers can trust and our members can be proud of.”
