US-based company NatureSeal has announced plans to extend the marketing of its proprietary fresh-cut produce treatment to the Asia-Pacific region.
The NatureSeal treatment was developed in concert with the US Department of Agriculture (USDA), and is a blend of vitamins and minerals which prolongs shelf life for up to 21 days.
A range of vegetables and fruit, both temperate and tropical, are catered for by NatureSeal treatments.
The company said the rise in popularity of fresh-cut produce in Asia has spurred the move.
“Similar to the dynamics of the fresh cut markets of North America and Europe, consumer demand for healthier menu items is driving the rise of fresh cut produce in an expanding number of Asian countries,” said a company spokesperson.
