Sir Don Curry, chairman of the policy commission on the future of food and farming, will give the keynote address at the Horticulture in Focus conference in February.
The event will also include a debate on the changing marketplace for fresh produce and ornamentals, which will be chaired by Graham Ward, chairman of the NFU Board for Horticulture. Ward said: “Following the success of last year's event, the NFU is pleased to confirm details for 2004. In organising this event the priority has been to attract top speakers dealing with issues affecting all growers and all those involved in the marketing and distribution of fresh produce and ornamentals.”
The one-day event is organised by the NFU and Highbury nexus Horticulture and will take place on February 26 at the Royal Lancaster Hotel.
