Barfoots of Botley has announced details of its first ever Cornfest to take place on July 26 in aid of the St Richard's Hospital scanner appeal. The day aims to promote the early harvest of English sweetcorn, to celebrate south-coast food and farming and to contribute towards a greater understanding of modern farming practices.

The fun will take place at Sefter Farm, Pagham, near Chichester. Events planned for the day include; live music, celebrity chef cooking demonstrations, farm tours, a giant barbecue and traditional country games and competitions.

Entrance to the event will be free although there will be a charge for parking. More details are available from www.barfoots.com.
